NCAT

Department of Computer Science and Engineering is participating in IFEHE National Creativity Aptitude Test (NCAT) for the all-round development of students.
Goals and benefits of NCAT
Research on ‘executive success’ indicates that problem solving skill is perhaps the single most important factor in the success of individuals and organizations. The willingness and ability to work hard is a necessary condition for success, it is however not a sufficient one. The NCAT is designed to sensitize the students to the domain of creative thinking and motivate them to read, learn and practice the same. We also wish to establish that there is no known correlation between memory, logical abilities, linguistic talent and creativity. NCAT may throw up a set of students who don’t seem to be the front-runners in the curricular subjects as creative geniuses and motivate them to sharpen their talent. The primary objectives of this test are -one, to sensitize the student and two, to appeal to his /her competitive spirit to make him/her an achiever.
Under the able guidance of Dr. Rajneesh Talwar (Principal, CGC-COE) & Dr SS Kang (HOD CSE), the exam was conducted in the college on 8th Feb’14 from 9:30am – 11:30 am.
66 students appeared in the exam for Category 2 and 3. The result of Round I exam would be declared on 15th March’14. Two toppers from each category will be sent for second round to IIT, Delhi on 14th June ’14. The result of 2nd round will be announced on 17th June’14.
